Since 2002, I have had the privilege of supporting thousands of clients from all walks of life. Some arrive feeling excited and confident, whilst others come to us feeling nervous, uncertain or taking their very first steps on a journey they may have contemplated for many years. Whatever their background or experience, every client is welcomed with warmth, understanding and respect.

 Over the years, I have come to appreciate that the dressing experience is about far more than makeup, clothing or photographs. For many clients, it is about confidence, self-expression and discovering a side of themselves that may have remained hidden for much of their lives. There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing someone look in the mirror and smile, perhaps for the first time in many years.

Today, clients travel from across Southern England and beyond to visit our private studio in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. Some come for a makeover or dressing experience, others for professional photography, accompanied outings or simply the opportunity to spend time expressing their feminine side in a safe and supportive setting.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing the positive impact these experiences can have. Time and again I have seen clients leave with renewed confidence, greater self-acceptance and a genuine sense of happiness. For some, it is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream; for others, it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Sophie Summers is more than a creative persona—it is a way of living, expressing, and connecting with others in a space where authenticity and identity are celebrated without judgement.

My life today is deeply rooted in crossdressing, femininity, creativity, and community. When I am not working as a professional makeup artist or developing the ecommerce side of my business, I am filming for my Youtube Channel or building something around the house. I’m Andrew the majority of my time and undertake most of my makeup appointment as Andrew, however Sophie always appears when requested.

I am passionate about supporting others who are exploring their identity, expression, or confidence in femininity. Whether through conversation, presence at events, or quiet encouragement, I believe in creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can simply be themselves without fear or restriction.

I have also been fortunate to contribute to the wider community over many years. I was actively involved in the early development of Sparkle, including supporting the establishment of its charity status and contributing to some of the very first events—something I remain deeply proud of. I have attended numerous Beaumont Society gatherings during the era of the much-missed Janet Scott, and I was present during the formative years of iconic spaces such as the Wayout Club, when figures like Stefan Whitfield, Caroline Edgerton, and Vicky Lee were helping shape its legacy. I also have fond memories of evenings at Ron Storme’s and the Philbeach Hotel—places that held real significance for many of us.

Alongside community involvement, I have made several public appearances on national television, helping to bring visibility and understanding to crossdressing and gender expression at a time when it was far less openly discussed than it is today.

Before 2002, my life followed a very different path. I began my career as an engineering apprentice at the Ministry of Defence (AWRE), working under the constraints of the Official Secrets Act—an experience that taught discipline, precision, and responsibility. From there, I moved into commercial roles in sales, progressing to Sales Manager and QA Manager positions before joining the British Standards Institution, where I worked in ISO 9000 sales across international markets. My career took me across many countries and industries, experiences that broadened my perspective in ways I still value today.

Eventually, I reached a point where I chose to step away from that structured corporate world and follow a different path—one that aligned more closely with who I am. That decision led me here: to a life built around creativity, expression, connection, and authenticity.

Today, Sophie Summers represents that choice fully. A life lived with intention, openness, and a commitment to supporting others in finding confidence in their own identity. I have retrained worked with great Brands Like Kryolan and MAC cosmetics and regularly attend makeup courses and exhibitions to ensure I keep abreast of thing.
