Brighton Pride 2017 takes place in early August and this year we are anticipating a very special weekend. The parties start early with private venues and bars gearing up as early as the Thursday. The official dates are Friday 4th August until Sunday 6th with the main parade and show at Preston park taking place on Saturday 5th August. You can find out all the latest details by visiting the Brighton Pride Website. For those of us of a certain age we can re-live our youth listening to the headline act the Pet shop boys. The official march starts all being well around 10am on Saturday and works its way through the busy streets on its way to the park. We like to get a front row seat for the Parade as it always a colorful event with lots of noise and great sights. Before departing we always have a champagne breakfast arranged for our guests and those poping along to our Dressing Service for the day/weekend. The evenings are where the real fun begins, but be warned it is crowded and you have to have a “Wrist Band” to get into the Kemptown Area. Normally all the bars and clubs are free to get into, however, everyone charges during Pride. The money raised does go to local charities which is good.
If you have any energy or you are not to hung over there is the Kemptown Street party on the Sunday which is always well supported and a fun event to go and be part of. We always suggest …. take it easy especially on the Saturday if you wish to enjoy the full Pride weekend experience.
At Translife we will be doing the usual make-over service and of course our B&B service for those who wish to stay for the celebrations. If you would like any further details on Pride or any events in Brighton the email sophie@translife.co.uk or pick up the phone and call 01273 779467 she will be only to please to hear from you.
